Transform the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder:
Syntropic Medical is driving a revolution in the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder. Pharmaceutical antidepressants have long been a below par treatment standard with poor treatment outcomes and high rates of side effects. Syntropics groundbreaking research has led to the discovery of an entirely new method of treatment that targets the underlying causes of mental health disorders.

Syntropics' first product is a non-invasive, wearable device for the treatment of depression. We activate the immune cells of the brain with stimulation delivered through the eyes to achieve faster and longer relief from depressive symptoms and eliminate adverse drug reactions. We are on a mission to transform the lives of those suffering from one of society's most debilitating diseases.

We are looking for a Founders Associate to become the next key part of our growing team. You will be closely involved in the day to day running of the company, working closely alongside the CEO and other founders. You will support business analysis and strategy, fundraising, market research, and general operations of the company. We will strive to support you in achieving your career goals and ensuring that you learn the maximum amount possible at Syntropic.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Business analysis and strategy.
  • Market research and analysis of competitors.
  • Supporting in the creation and execution of a fundraising strategy.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders to understand their needs and develop a strong market understanding.
  • Preparation of investor, client and partner decks.
  • Supporting the founders in general operational tasks of the company.
  • Building a strong understanding of the company and our values while also developing your own career skills.
  • Working closely with our Founders & CEO on our go-to-market strategy by researching and developing efficient processes to execute it.

Requirements:

  • This role is open to a broad range of backgrounds and skill sets. We are seeking people who are proactive and keen to learn more about the process of building and running a startup.
  • You hold a third-level (tertiary) qualification.
  • You should be passionate about solving real world problems and having a positive societal impact.
  • You should have excellent problem-solving ability and interpersonal skills.
  • Ambition and willingness to learn: You are highly motivated to turn ideas into action and continuously strive to learn new things and take on challenges.
  • Strong strategic planning and operational management skills.
  • You are proactive and pride yourself on getting things done.
  • High proficiency in English.
  • You are located or can relocate to Austria.

Desirable Attributes:

  • 1+ years' experience in fast-paced working environments including but not limited to High-Growth Start-ups, Strategy Consulting, Venture Capital.
  • You have an interest in innovation within healthcare, neuroscience, and mental health.
  • You are comfortable with speaking in both English and German.
