About Us:

xista science ventures is a Venture Fund at the forefront of fostering innovation and scientific breakthroughs. Nestled on the scenic campus of the Institute of Science and Technology Austria just outside Vienna, we commercialize cutting-edge research from ISTA and invest in visionary science start-ups across Europe.

Your Role:

As Principal Industrial Technologies, you will:

• Drive Investments: Source, screen, and execute high-potential early-stage startup deals in industrial technologies.
• Collaborate & Lead: Work with partners, portfolio companies, co-investors, and industry experts to foster growth and innovation.
• Shape the Ecosystem: Represent xista science ventures at industry events, share thought leadership, and cultivate relationships within the startup ecosystem.
• Portfolio Excellence: Manage and support our portfolio companies to drive impactful outcomes.

Your Qualifications:

• Business Credentials: min.** 5-10 years business, innovation or entrepreneurship track record. **A business degree (such as an MBA) is a plus.
• Scientific Excellence: Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or Physics (PhD preferred).
• Skills: Exceptional analytical, strategic, and communication abilities. A visionary mindset with a knack for quantitative and qualitative thinking.
• Experience: Practical experience in investing, startups, or corporate environments, with a strong professional network in relevant industries. Business development or sales experience is advantageous.
• Attributes: Self-starter, problem-solver, and team player with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. An EU work visa is required.
